Privacy Policy
Effective date: 14 August 2026
Who we are
NoteGage (“we,” “us”) operates this website and service, and is responsible for the information described in this policy.
Contact us at hello@notegage.com.
This policy covers both the NoteGage website and waitlist, and the NoteGage application available to signed-in users.
Information you provide
On the website
When you join the waitlist:
- Your email address (required)
- Your name (optional)
- What you buy (optional) — performing notes, non-performing notes, or both
In the application
When you use NoteGage to analyse a note:
- Account information — the email address and credentials you register with
- Listing URLs and note details you submit for analysis
- Documents you upload — appraisals, broker price opinions, payment histories, title documents, assignments, and similar files
- Property addresses contained in the listings and documents you submit
Documents you upload may contain personal information about other people, including borrowers. You're responsible for having the right to share any document you upload.
Information we collect automatically
When you submit the waitlist form, we record:
- The page you came from (the referring URL)
- Campaign parameters in the link you clicked — UTM source, medium, campaign, term, and content, when present
- Your browser's user agent string, which we use to distinguish real visitors from automated crawlers
- Which form you used — the one at the top of the page or the one at the bottom
We record these so we can tell which channels bring people to the site. They're stored with your waitlist entry in our own database.
We also record basic first-party events — page views and waitlist signups — in our own database.
Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and privacy-first. It produces aggregate statistics only: no cookies, no persistent identifiers, no tracking across other websites, and no personal data.
Spam prevention. Our forms include a hidden field invisible to people but tempting to bots. If it's filled in, we discard the submission. Netlify, our form provider, also applies Akismet spam filtering.
Cookies
We don't set cookies on our website. No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies — Plausible is cookieless by design. We don't track you across other sites.
The signed-in application sets a session cookie to keep you logged in. That's the only cookie we use, and it's necessary for the service to work.
How we use your information
- To provide the analysis you request — scoring, deal math, document reading, and public-records verification
- To notify you when early access opens, and to communicate about the service
- To understand which channels bring people to the site
- To show you what's most relevant based on what you told us you buy
- To maintain, secure, and improve the service
- To prevent spam and abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We don't use your information to build advertising profiles.
We do not use your uploaded documents to train AI models.

How we share information
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
We disclose information only:
- To the service providers listed above
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request
- To protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — and we'll tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy
How long we keep it
We keep your information indefinitely until you ask us to delete it.
When you ask, we delete your waitlist entry, account information, submitted listings, and uploaded documents. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten, and we may keep what we're legally required to keep.
Aggregate analytics data contains no personal information and is kept indefinitely.
To request deletion, email hello@notegage.com.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- See what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop emailing you — every email has an unsubscribe link, or just reply and ask
Email hello@notegage.com. We respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, to request correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — though as stated above, we don't sell or share it. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Security
We protect your information with encrypted transmission (HTTPS), encryption at rest through our database provider, access controls, and by limiting how many people and systems can reach it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we'll notify you as required by law.
Children's privacy
NoteGage is for adults. You must be at least 18 to use this site or the service. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, email hello@notegage.com and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. For material changes affecting information you've already given us, we'll email you.
